- Swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue
- Difficulty breathing or wheezing

- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening reaction that impairs breathing and can send the body into shock

White Faced Hornet (Dolichovespula Maculate) Allergen
The White faced hornet, or Dolichovespula maculata, is a social wasp known for its venomous stings. While the exact role of all venom components is not fully understood, the main allergen in its venom is Antigen 5 (Dol m 5). Other allergenic components include phospholipase A1 and hyaluronidase. These allergens can trigger allergic reactions in some individuals, ranging from localized swelling and redness to severe anaphylaxis.
